Brooklyn, NY Puerto Ricans Of the 2.3 million people living in Brooklyn, 20 percent are Hispanic. The Hispanic population is largely Puerto Rican.
Miami, FL Cuban Americans The Hispanic population (predominantly Cuban American) of Dade County is 953,407, compared to 586,000 Non-Hispanic Whites and 397,993 Blacks. It is estimated that increases since the 1990 Census make Dade County the largest county in the nation with a Hispanic majority.
San Francisco, CA Mexican Americans
Central Americans		 The Hispanic population of San Francisco County is 100,717. Due to recent changes in immigration patterns, an increasing proportion of Latinos in the San Francisco Bay area are from Central America. More than 50 percent of the Hispanic population are from Central and South American countries.
San Diego, CA Mexican Americans The Hispanic population of 510,000 comprises 20.4 percent of the total population of San Diego County. This represents an almost 6 percent increase since 1980.
San Antonio, TX Mexican Americans The Hispanic population of San Antonio is 568,000. This rapidly growing group makes up more than half the city’s total population. In the study's target area of San Antonio's West Side, 92 percent are of Hispanic origin.
